Naathihalli Chandrashekhar

Post Graduate in Kannada Literature from Mysore University, and has won 8 gold medals and 2 Cash awards in 1985. Served as Kannada Lecturer for 15 years ¤tly in to full time film and TV serial making. 21 literary articles and stories have been published in the leading journals in Kannada. Has directed 15 films with story, dialogues, screenplay& has written lyrics for 60 songs. He has received “SICA” award, 4 National Award for best regional film in Kannada, many State Film Awards and Film Fair Awards.

He has also directed theatre plays, 3 short films on environment, 4 Tele films, 8 mega serials and two special programs for Television. Has done various environmental activities and has given more than 500 programs including radio talks, story narrations, essays, discussions, plays, light music, interviews etc. in various Television and Radio stations

Under Social activities he has donated a library, computer center and open-air stage to Government Primary School, atNagathihalli, in 2004. He is founder of “Vivekananda Youth Club” at Nagathihalli Village in Karnataka in the year 1977. He is founder chairman of “ABHIVYAKTHI” a cultural forum which is involved in publication of books, promoting simple / inter caste/ inter religion / widows marriages etc. Through this organization published 17 books apart from his own books.
