Dharmendra, known as Dharma Vish in the film and music industry was born in Bangalore on christmas 1973. Growing up in Bangalore he had great exposure to all kinds of music, people and technology. He started his musical education at an early age of 8 studying Carnatic classical music specializing in playing the violin. His first performance was at the age of 10 and also led the children’s band performing on TV, Radio, school fests and competitions. Academically a very bright kid he passed out of school with a distinction and went on to be an automobile engineer. During this time he participated in several motor sport competitions particularly Motorbike Rallying and qualified for the National championships.

Passion for Music: During his days of Technical education he had to break his musical indulgence for a short time. But his passion for music did not keep him away from it for too long. With an impeccable understanding of technology and the evolution of music software, he started music programming (sequencing) which was completely self taught as there was nobody in India who had the experience with these products and was soon known as the ‘go to’ person for explanations with technology in Music and has helped many musicians to understand it.

Musical Career: In 1994 he collaborated with SandeepChowta, AlwynFernandes and Keith Peters to form the band “PULSE” which went on to win the MTV billboard award. They conceived one of the early hindi pop albums and probably the first ever hindi music video directed and choreographed by Farah Khan, cinematography by Ashok Mehta and produced by Rajiv Rai. He started composing jingles, programming music for feature films, background scoring etc. In quick time he was one of the most wanted music programmers in South India. Since then he has worked with music composers like KV Mahadevan, Vidyasagar, Mani Sharma, Koti, Guru Kiran, Hamsalekha, V.Manohar, Mano Murthy, Pravin Mani, GV Prakash Kumar, Joshua Sridhar, Harris Jayaraj to name a few. During this period he has worked on over 300 feature films in all languages. Some of the recent prominent ones include VetteyaduVeliyadu, Ghajani, VarnamAayiram, Kuselan, Bheema, Kuruvi, Daam Doom, UnnaleUnnale, PacchaiKiliMutthuCharam, Munna, Sainikudu, Ayan, Adhavan etc. In 2007 he produced a charity Hindi Album featuring celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, Syed Kirmani, ManojBajpai, Tom Alter, RaveenaTandon, SharadKapoor, MandiraBedi among a host of others. Till date may be around 500 films and the first Kannada film as music composer is Aanepataaki released recently in May 2013. He has also sung the title song in Aanepataaki.

With every year, every month, every week and every day being so eventful and exciting, he looks forward to venture into newer projects and newer arenas and continue his streak of success.
